An Affirmation for the Week

As the crust of a new work week begins to rise above the pan edge of another dwindling weekend, let us allow its fresh aroma to permeate the kitchen of our temporal moods. Soon we will be dining on the delicacies of labor and financial increase and wiping our mouths on the hand folded linen napkins of another weekend.

But before all of that begins, let us sit at the table of expectations and greet the other guests.

This week you’ll be dining with your best mate, Success! You and Success may not have seen each other in some time, but it’s never too late to get reacquainted. Tell Success about that thing you’ve been working out, they’ll be more than happy to help you finish. Success is really loyal and will stay with you throughout the entire meal of the week as you accomplish all of your goals.

So as you munch through your five courses, just remember, this meal was a custom order, made especially for you. You will find enjoyment in every bite—even in the parts you don’t typically like to eat, like the artichoke part. But when it’s all over, you’ll have a full belly of contentment and pride. And that’s what dining is all about, a full belly.

Eat up, web-heads! (Internetters, not Spider-men)

  1. I particularly like how you spin this affirmation as a kitchen homage and success sat waiting for you at the dining table! Voila! This is what I’m talking about, that star in you that is unique and destiny chose you to provide us this content to masticate and digest! Thank you for imparting this starter to get us ripping through the week taking no prisoners and marching on to another fun filled weekend!

    • I’m glad you enjoyed this post. This one was actually pretty fun to write. I was considering stretching this affirmation out a bit longer, but I ran out of time. Sleep was beating on me…lol.

      • Time is a social construct created by those who need excuses for why things didn’t turn out the way they wanted them to. It’s something that I fall prey to…all of the…time…lol.
